She Was Never Worth The Price of a Rose

She was never worth the price of a rose.

His voice was so sweet and tender,

Never leaving a hint of his plan.

He told her she was greater than all the stars

In the heaven's.

And she melted like puddy in his hands.

But she was never worth the price of a rose.

Even tho he held her so close.

His kisses were fine,

Like expensive wine.

But she was never worth the price of a rose.

His touch was so soft and gentle,

She clung to his every word.

Believing him when he said he loved her,

She was lost in his fantasy world.

But she was never worth the price of a rose.

She cried when she finally awakened,

To reality,

To find he was gone.

And in her hands were empty plans,

And the blood from the thorns of a rose.

But she was never worth the price of a rose.

Even though he held her so close.

His kisses were fine

Like expensive wine.

But she was never worth the price of a rose.
